UPDATE FROM COUNCIL INCLUDING COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The Council elections will be held on Saturday 8 September. Council is currently in care-taker mode; major decisions and spending are held off until the new Council is elected. There will be no Youth Committee meetings in September due to the elections. (Monday 1 October is a public holiday, so no meeting on this date either.) After the election, Council will call for new members for all of its Committees including the Youth Committee. Current Youth Committee members may be asked to reapply, and it is Camille’s intention to recommend each of you to continue your service on the Youth Committee.
Councillor Kelso will table a Notice of Motion at the next Council meeting, regarding the expansion of the Summer Hill Skate Park. The Notice of Motion will recommend that a committee be formed to investigate the expansion of the skate park.
