1/2 That Council staff develop Motions for presentation to the National General Assembly of Local Government to include issues as appropriately identified in this officers report and further ratified by Council including:-

a) Extended Producer responsibility

b) NSW Government Waste Targets

 

2/2 That officers further investigate issues raised in the report regarding illegal dumping and report back to the Environment Committee on their findings.

1/2 That Ashfield Council puts a motion to the 2011 Australian Local Government Conference to call upon the relevant Federal and State Authorities to develop a co-ordinated partnership to control the numbers and spread of Indian Myna birds, which have become a problem for many communities and pose a threat to vulnerable native species.

BIODIVERISTY IN THE GREENWAY CORRIDOR

 

Councillor Wangmann request that officers look at undertaking education and the capturing of feral animals in the Greenway corridor in order to maintain biodiversity
